Description

USS Navy Ship Tour: You will have the opportunity to climb aboard one of the Navy’s 11 ships in Pearl Harbor. This insider’s tour of a U.S. Naval Vessel includes key areas aboard the ship, including the bridge. It highlights the various weapon and combat systems, their consistent environmental efforts, and the key engineering components to the operation of this modern-day warship vessel.

NSST Tour and Interactive Demonstration: The Navy’s new Navigation, Seamanship, and Shiphandling Trainer on Ford Island opened March 14, 2007. The trainer is operated by Afloat Training Group Middle Pacific and features a state-of-the-art bridge simulator to train Navy ship crews using virtual technology. The NSST bridge design replicates the environment found on a bridge on a U.S. Navy ship. This system will eventually be used in all Navy fleet concentration centers.
