Description
American Maglev Technology (AMT) specializes in harnessing and shaping magnetic fields for commercial products. The company’s test facility in Powder Springs, GA features a full-scale prototype of a magnetic levitation train demonstrating next-generation energy-efficient transit technology for passengers and freight.
The visit to AMT’s facility will include an explanation of the technology used for levitation and propulsion of the train, along with descriptions of the civil works, switching and electrification of the system. Visitors will be able to take a ride on the maglev vehicle along AMT’s test track and have a Q&A session with engineers working on the project.
